Still practicing the Dark Humor because of Client's Request. I used a reference photo of a man that I previously drew just fine at a Party.
In the first picture here, I wasn't successful in coming up with Dark Humor. He looks just so cute. So I tried it again.
In the 2nd picture here, I was successful in coming up with Dark Humor. I wonder if it will feel easier to get into that Zone at the Event where the Client requested Dark Humor. And if so, would I even Want to be there? Maybe I'm going to turn down this party afterall. But meanwhile, it sure is an interesting drawing experience alone in my studio.
Not only would I prefer Drawing the first picture, but I also don't understand what sort of benefit there would be for a person to have a picture on which Dark Humor is imposed. When the Client calls me back, I'm going to ask her about that.

Not to forget the other Bar Mitzvot, but at the moment, this Bar Mitzvah is feeling like the Best Bar Mitzvah ever! I had had such a good time.
Great people, good lighting, music not too loud.....nobody trying to 'interview' me while I was drawing. We just Enjoyed the activity. We just Enjoyed the Party.

I just liked this drawing. I felt like I could see a whole story, a whole relationship in the few minutes that I was watching the boys.

Alison was amazing!! She made everyone feel comfortable. The kiddos danced around and everyone had a blast getting their caricatures drawn. I can honestly say, she was the highlight of our party! Her work is so pretty, each drawing is artwork and very flattering! Thankyou!
